Happy Valentines Day!!!

I have been saving this photo for a couple of weeks now ,just for Valentines Day.
Are they my flowers?
I have to admit they are not, will I get any ?probably not, whose are they?
My daughter got these from her Boyfriend for the anniversay of their going out with each other for 3 years.

Me I won't get flowers, what I do have is a loving husband who comes home every night,
Who never fails to kiss me goodbye in the morning regardless of what time it is or if I am asleep.
Who never complains when it is his job to put the garbages out and bring them.
Who always does the heavy lifting.
Who warms the car for me before we go out or makes sure the aircon is running so that the temperature is just right.
Who never complains if I do not feel like cooking.
Who turns a blind eye to how much I spend on shopping for clothes.
Who hates to paint but will still do it if I ask nicely.
Who will make me a cup of coffee even after he has worked all day.
Who has worked 6 to 7 days a week since we have been married to give us the best lifstyle he can.
Who still makes my heart beat a little faster when he walks into the room after 28 years of marriage.
No I won't be getting flowers but that is ok :) sometimes its what you do!
 not what you buy!

  14. Yes, a wonderful hubby, and I'm sure you treat him the same way.

Beautiful red roses, lovely for your daughter, and lovely photos.

Sadly Valentines Day has become some sort of a contest for women to be able to show off what their man came up with.... I was reading a par in the Sunday paper about it yesterday written by a woman, that a man can never win whatever gift he produces, and I have to agree. And I've seen women send gifts to themselves in offices.

    Love and hugs,
    Jan

  15. Yes, that's the kind of husband I have, too. Showing love everyday is more important than all the gestures once a year. That said, I do love it when he does bring me flowers!

  17. Dear Sharon,
Our "guys" are the best..as mine tends to get a tad OLDER, it's the warmth and knowing each other's comfort zone that makes a good relationship..Have a Happy Valentine's Day..
    Yours Sincerely
    Shirley

  21. Flowers that last a few days or a love that's still going after 28 years? I'd say you got the better deal! Sweet love story:)

  24. This is so inspirational because it says so much about the kind of man your husband is and the women you are. He is a keeper. I know I have one like that too, the second time around. You can always buy yourself flowers, but to have a man like that every day is a beloved gift that no romantic once a year gift could compare to. You have the "REAL THING" for sure. Blessings

  25. Okay, I have to say that sounds EXACTLY like my husband! For some reason he has this mental block about Valentine's Day. Like he's just going to boycott it or something!! But he is so thoughtful in so many other ways, I suppose I can forgive one silly thing like not bringing home flowers! We get our thoughtful gestures all year long!
    xo,
    Karen
