                                                      Happy New Years
It is now less than 12 hours to go Sydney time until New Years Eve ,tonight we are going with friends to watch the fireworks from a great vantage point of Kirribilli ,I cannot beleive that in all of my 26 years this is the first time I will do this ,in my defence thugh it takes a lot of effort ,first of all drive to the station and park the car 40 minutes ,catch the train 45 Minutes walk to St Aloysius College all the while carrying our chairs and any drinks or food we may want for the evening and then at midnight turn around and do it all again to get home ,I hope it's worth it ,if these photos are anything to go by it will be ,I will post my own attempts tomorrow.

Eating Out

Apart from decorating my home and garden ,one of my other favourite past times is eating out ,last night my husband and 2 of our closest friends went for dinner to Zaafran at Darling Harbour in Sydney ,first of all the weather was perfect ,a mild 28 C or 82 F with a cool sea breeze ,so we sat on the balcony overlooking the water.
Zaafran is an Indian restaurant like no other Indian restaurant ,we had a four course banquet and we where soooo full ,afterwards we dropped into one of the lovely bars below for a nightcap ,I had Tea (I was the driver ) anyway it was great way to end a Fabulous night out.
I did not need to move from the table to capture this view
The second course ,yummm Salmon Tandoori ,BBQ King Prawn ,and Grilled Chicken on bed of mashed Potato with Mint sauce

It's Time

It's soon to be a New Year and with that comes my resolution to update this blog regularly ,I set it up early this year and sadly so far I have not posted anything ,all that must change! Enough of reading everyone elses amazing stories and drooling of the georgous pictures ,it's time for me to contribute too.I will start with some late Spring pictures of my garden ,but first a bit of background ,we built our house about 12 years ago and to say it was blank slate is an understatement ,I will try shortly to post some before photos .Living on the Northern outskirts of Sydney is a harsh climate cold wet winters with frost and scorching humid to dry summer heat ,which can make gardening a challenge but I hope we are slowly getting there.

At the top of this post is my back courtyard garden in late spring and then there is the clivea Garden in front of my patio and last of all my front garden with a bit of a folley and the "stairs to nowhere" .I can see that I am really going to have to improve the quality of my photography!
